Welcome to the Postgraduate Program (MSc) “Functional Rehabilitation of Injuries in Athletes and Trainees”. of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Science, Democritus University of Thrace, which has been operating since the Academic Year 2017-2018

The main objective of the Program is to prepare you — as exercise and health professionals — to manage the causes and consequences of musculoskeletal injuries in athletes and trainess.

The interdisciplinary and “functional” nature of the Program will prepare you to become more creative in successfully addressing the multifactorial challenges faced by an injured athlete or exerciser.

At the same time, like any postgraduate program, we aspire to prepare future exercise specialists to produce new knowledge in the field of functional exercise and develop innovative applications of it.
